我想起看过的一个故事，就是一个小狗的委屈和男主人工作不顺心的关联性的故事：男主人因为工作被经理训斥了，他很郁闷，回家看到家里乱七八糟，很显然妻子没有把家务都做好，他把妻子臭骂一顿，妻子忙了一天也很憋屈，看到儿子作业有一些错误就把儿子骂了，儿子心里不痛快，这时他的小狗跑过来跟他亲热，结果他一脚把小狗给踢飞了……是不是很有意思？打死小狗它都不会想到这一切都是因为男主人被经理说了。日常工作中有没有碰上过这样的情况：比如你是一家公司的秘书，总经理进来你起身向他问好，他没有理你，板着脸擦身而去。你可能心里惴惴，开始想是不是自己那里做错了，是因为昨天会议备忘录没有做好？还是那天跟客户吃饭没有帮他挡酒？还是……？你的脑袋都快想炸了，你并不知道其实他当时并没有注意你的招呼，而是自顾自在想出门的时候跟太太拌嘴的事情。这样的情况在工作中屡见不鲜，俗话说“人非草木孰能无情”，我们都知道有能力的人没有几个好脾气的，只是很多人有涵养控制的好。很多人在情绪不佳的时候经常会“迁怒”，不自觉地伤到周围“无辜”的人，尤其是关系比较近的人。知道这些，我们就应该做到两点：
一是不要拿别人折磨自己；
每个人都有自己不顺心的事情，不要奢求他们天天对你笑脸相迎，看到他们情绪不佳的时候，不要随便往自己身上扯（前提是没有惹是生非的习惯），做好自己分内的事情，对对方冷处理，如果是上司，你问好他没回应，下次继续微笑招呼，回不回复是他的事情，应有的礼节是你的事情。更不要妄自猜测，只能让你更烦
二是不要拿自己折磨别人。
工作中很多是同事、上司下属、客户关系，毕竟不是家人，跟家人发过脾气，即使无礼他们也不会计较，因为他们爱你，因为是家人。而工作关系则不尽然，对方没有迁就你的义务，要知道破坏关系很容易，有时候一句话就够了，可是要修补这样的关系，可就太难了，就好像你往墙上镶钉子，钉子拔出来后你不能说没有镶过，毕竟墙上有洞了，所以要控制好自己的情绪，不要给自己后悔的机会。如果你今天心情实在不好你可以选择不工作，但是一旦你来了就一定要控制好，不要带着情绪工作，与人无益于己不利的事情聪明人是不会做的。
有人说过，“我们无法决定生命的长度但是可以掌控它的宽度；我们无法左右天气但是可以控制情绪”。开心也好难受也罢，这一天都要过，那为什么不让自己开心周围的人舒服一点呢？有句话说A merry heart goes all the way（心旷神怡，事事顺利）——这也许会给我们一些启迪。

The Old Cat
An old woman had a cat. The cat was very old; she could not run quickly, and she could not bite, because she was so old. One day the old cat saw a mouse; she jumped and caught the mouse. But she could not bite it; so the mouse got out of her mouth and ran away, because the cat could not bite it.

Then the old woman became very angry because the cat had not killed the mouse. She began to hit the cat. The cat said, "Do not hit your old servant. I have worked for you for many years, and I would work for you still, but I am too old. Do not be unkind to the old, but remember what good work the old did when they were young."

A man was going to the house of some rich person. As he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of the road. He went on and came to a river. The river had become very big; so he could not go over it. He waited for some time; then he said, "I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot get over the river."

He began to go home. He had eaten no food that day. He began to want food. He came to the apples, and he was glad to take them out of the dust and eat them.

The City Mouse and the Country Mouse

The City mouse said, "This food is not good, and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. The City mouse cried, " Run! Run! The cat is coming!" They ran away quickly and hid.

After some time they came out. When they came out, the Country mouse said, "I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer to be poor and happy, than to be rich and afraid."
